Call Recording

Enable call recording to capture audio from every call session. Recordings are stored securely with configurable retention periods.

Enable Recording

Configure via the agent's analytics.recording section:

Accessing Recordings

After a call ends, the recording URL is included in the call log:

The recording URL is time-limited. Download the file if you need permanent access.

Recording Ready Webhook

Receive a webhook event when the recording upload completes:

call.summary.ready fires once post-call analysis completes and includes recording_url (when recording is enabled). The dedicated recording.ready event is defined but not yet emitted — see Webhook Events for status.

Consent Handling

Many jurisdictions require consent before recording. Enable consent handling in the agent config:

When consent_required is true, the agent will ask for consent and only record if the caller agrees.

Jurisdiction Reference

Jurisdiction	Requirement
US (most states)	One-party consent (you can record without telling the other party)
California, Florida, others	Two-party consent — all parties must agree
EU (GDPR)	Explicit consent required for processing
UK	Legitimate interest may apply for business calls

Consult your legal team for requirements specific to your use case.

GDPR Deletion

To permanently delete a call's recording and transcript:

This action is permanent and irreversible.
